In the Classroom

“I am not a teacher, but an awakener.”    -Robert Frost

The classroom is a place where learning is the sparking of a flame rather than the filling of a vessel.  Environment is the soil and the seeds are planted through dynamic curriculum based on the drive of the people, their place and finding purpose.  I have taught in K-12 classrooms in a variety of capacities from teaching high school art to facilitating large scale art installations with elementary aged children through a variety of special project art residencies.  I have created and implemented innovative curriculum for unique homeschool programs as well as helped build a small progressive multi-aged independent school with a large concentration on the arts.

The classroom is a place where learning is a whole body experience and happens at the crossing point between curiosity, creativity, compassion, and collaboration.
